Q. How is the reach of the POSI LOCK™ puller determined?
A. The reach of the puller is determined by measuring from the bottom of the jaw head assembly to the pulling surface of the jaw tips.
Q. How do I figure out which POSI LOCK™ puller I have?
A. To figure out which puller you have, you will need to have 1 of 3 measurements:
-Overall length of the center bolt
-Overall length of the jaw
-Height of the cage
With one of these three measurements you will be able to determine which puller you have by calling Posi Lock™ Puller, Inc.
Q. How do I determine which POSI LOCK™ puller I need?
A. For Manual Pullers: You will need to know the reach and spread of the object you need to remove. A general rule of thumb is the center bolt diameter of the puller should be at least ½ the diameter of the shaft in which the object is being removed.
For Hydraulic Pullers: You will need to know the reach and spread of the object you need to remove. You will also need to have the diameter of the shaft in inches on which the object to be removed. The tons required is then figured in as 7 to 10 times the diameter of the shaft. ie, A 1" shaft will require approximately 7 to 10 tons of force to remove the object.
Q. What is the warranty on the POSI LOCK™ puller?
A. POSI LOCK™ forged parts carry a lifetime warranty. All other POSI LOCK™ parts and components are guaranteed for one year against defects in materials and workmanship to meet the exacting standards and requirements for professional maintenance. Every product manufactured and/or sold by POSI LOCK™ found to be defective (by the factory) in either material or workmanship, will be repaired or replaced. The foregoing constitutes the only warranty made by the company. Furthermore, any product that has been abused, worn out, heated, ground or otherwise altered, or used for a purpose other than for which it was intended, will not be covered by the guarantee.

Q. Where can I get POSI LOCK™ parts?

Q. How do I know which POSI LOCK™ replacement part # I need?
A. You can find a parts breakdown sheet under the manual parts section and hydraulic parts section. There is a parts list on the instruction sheet that came with your puller.
Q. How much MAXIMUM torque can I use on the POSI LOCK™ Manual Puller?
A. We have a chart for each puller and the amount of torque that can be placed on each puller. You can find this chart on the instruction sheet that came with the puller.
Q. Can I use an impact wrench on the POSI LOCK™ puller?
A. Pullers, in general, are not impact approved. If you must use an impact wrench, make sure to use tip protectors, lubricate the center bolt with a high pressure gear grease and watch your torque levels. Use of an impact wrench will void your POSI LOCK™ warranty.
