The close fit of the wheel to the hub, when combined with heat and moisture, can cause corrosion that virtually welds wheels and hubs together. It’s not uncommon for a mechanic to struggle for hours to remove these wheels. And you know that removing frozen, seized wheels can be a serious safety problem too.
