What is a MAP Policy?
Did you know that many manufacturers have a MAP Policy that distributors must abide to? Internet sellers have a huge advantage over brick and mortar buildings by reaching millions of potential customers. We sell millions and our margins can be extremely low. Manufacturers know this, so to protect small local distributors and to keep the integrity of their products intact, they require distributors to advertise their products at the same price (MAP). Many people may not know what MAP actually stands for... this being Minimum Advertised Price. Although they have this policy in place, it doesn't mean that us, as a distributor, are required to sell the products at that price, we only must advertise at that price. This is a major benefit for you, our customer!
